Grants whisky is produced by William Grant & Sons, a family and award-winning distillery founded by William Grant in 1886, which is still directed by his descendants. Creating a mixture is an art. Care, sensitivity to choice and the perfect combination of the different components are fundamental to producing a balanced and complex whisky. Today, mixed whisky represents 90% of the sales of Scottish whisky in the world. William Grant started producing mixed whiskies when he finished building his first distillery in 1887, and was responsible for the mixture for 25 years. He wrote the recipe for this mixture in a book in 1912, and the same production parameters are still respected today, more than 100 years later. After decades of experience gained by the distilling teachers who went through the distillery, Grants became the third best-selling whisky in the world, present in more than 180 countries.
